Join us for another fabulous

Networking Event!

The wait is over. You've been asking about when we'd be getting together again...it will be on June 2 in Berkeley. Will you be there?

Networking is the name of the game, so why not make as many new connections as possible? If you are interested in having quick 1:1 meetings with other professionals in order to do a quick assessment of who you'd like to connect with later for a deeper conversation, this is THE PLACE to start.

True networking is not only about handshakes and the exchange of business cards. Does the other person with your business card know you well enough to refer to someone in their network who may need your services? Doubtful. Attending our events and participating in the online discussions are an effective way to build strong relationships with others in different professions and industries.

We've all got places where we can network with others with similar backgrounds, but when it comes to networking - diversity is key! Opportunities to meet others with completely different skill sets bring your networking efforts to a whole new level.

What should I expect when I attend?

Please try to arrive as close to 5:30 pm as possible. We recognize that this can be difficult with work and commute times, so we'll understand if you aren't able to arrive at this time. The speed-networking begins at 6:00 pm, so it is very important that you arrive at least 15 minutes before then.

During the networking time, you will be meeting with another professional for 5 minutes. Yep, that's a short time, but you'll be surprised what you can accomplish in that brief conversation. At the end of 5 minutes, you will move to meet with someone new...and so on.

How should I prepare to get the most out of this event?

- Remember to bring plenty of business cards.

- You should be able to explain a little about who you are and what you do in 60-90 seconds. It may seem impossible, but it isn't. Focus only on the key points. This is NOT a sales pitch or an elevator pitch. Be sure to share a bit about who you are, not just the work stuff. Leave enough time for your partner to ask questions and to have a chance to tell you about what they do as well.

- Be sure that your LinkedIn profile is complete and up-to-date. Your new contacts will want to connect with you online. You want to make your best impression when they visit your profile to learn more about you.

- Have fun! This is a no pressure situation. Everyone who participates is intersted in making new contacts, just like you.

- More information will be provided prior to the event to help you prepare to maximize your networking results.

How do I RSVP?

Click on the PayPal button above to purchase one or more tickets. When you are asked for your website, please include the URL for your profile on LinkedIn. This allows other attendees to get to know you even before meeting in person. Why not begin networking now?

Can I invite a friend or colleague?

Absolutely, yes! Please share this invitation with them if you feel they would be a good fit for the event. If you RSVP for them by purchasing more than one ticket, please forward the invitation to them anyway, so they have all of the pertinent information. This will allow them to know what to expect also.

But wait, there's more...

Light food and beverages will be provided.

How can I help you use social media and networking for your business, career or connecting with those most important to you?

If you are looking for a social media guru who uses a lot of tech-speak, you've come to the wrong place. If you are looking for a coach, consultant or speaker who will explain things in a way that is easy to understand, you are in the right place.

Social media is very new and anyone who claims they are a guru likely isn't. What are your goals and how can I help you achieve them?
